In the next picture, I'm experimenting with ideas for portrayal of the horse ridden by Pestilence.
I'm trying to show the horse as having suffered damage and decay through association with its rider.
Although I personally prefer the colour values shown in the top picture, those in the image below are likely to be more appropriate for the final painting of this particular horse. We'll see, eh? :-)

Misty Livingstone's photograph, 'Gentle Gaze', was used as a reference to establish the overall outline of the horses head.

I'll probably release this series as Limited Edition ACEO's in the near future.. most likely limited to just nine prints of each.

This is a copy of the one above, with digital manipulation to experiment with a different selection of colour values.
It's obviously a lot quicker and less expensive to experiment with colour in this way..:-)
