~Works in Progress~ 'Wood Nymph' This is a 48" by 48" inch acrylic on an Oak Plywood Panel.. |
Here's a slide show with a few pics taken in the studio as the work progressed through 2006/7/8.. The latest images are further down the page. lol.. Red Rock crept into view as it had been given its second coat of varnish..:-)

Here's a larger, more recent view... It's been one of those periods when, for a variety of reasons, some work gets put on the back burner. This version of Wood Nymph has been one of those works, but I'm finally finding the time... lol... and inclination, to work on it again.. I'll upload a newer picture in due course..:-) |
Here's the latest.. as of 8th March.. sorry it's a bit dark, but the camera battery was too low to run the flash. <grin>.. I'll try to get a better shot for the next update. In this version I've lightened the brown on the figure... which was way dark.. changed the hands, that's why they're still so yellow.. done some work on the feet.. plus a lot of small modifications to light etc., throughout the pic.. I'm still finding it a bit difficult to get back into the swing with this work... memo to self.. don't stop until they're finished in future..:-)

Been pretty busy for a while, but have now started on this piece again...:-) I've been doing a lot of darkening in the background to adjust the contrasts and am fairly happy with the effect this is having.. As of 19 July 08
